Haiku Poetry contest/category

This is our Haiku Poetry contest/category. The subject matter of haiku poetry, a traditional Japanese form, doesn't matter. The subject can be nature, love, friendship, or any other subject you can think of. What is important, is the style. Haiku poetry is highly stylized. Haiku poetry is extremely short. Each poem is only three lines long. Rhyme is not important. However, the scansion, or number of beats were syllables is crucial. Each haiku as a first line of five syllables, a second line of sevens syllables and a third and final line containing five syllables. Try it! What can you say in 17 syllables?
