Iliad Press and the Iliad Literary Awards program have been around since 1996. We have been encouraging writers for more than 15 years. Our anthologies have given thousands of writers the opportunity to share their passion with thousands of others. Many accomplished writers have gotten theirs start with Iliad Press.
Are we legitimate?
Yes. Let us tell you how it works. Anyone can post poems, essays, short stories or anything else on our website for free. It doesn't cost effective. It's fun. It's a learning experience.
How our litter or he awards work.
Quarterly, our independent judges sift through the posted material for the months. They pick a grand prize winner, 1 first place, 2 second-place and 3 third-place winners. These winners receive a cash award and a complimentary copy of that quarter ‘s hardcover anthology. In addition, our judges award honorable mention status to many entrants in the competition. These are the writers who were in the running to receive one of the top awards.
Specialty competitions.
From time to time, we will run a war its programs for specific types of literature such as haiku poetry, song lyrics, political essays, etc. The same contest rules hold true. You post for free, our judges picked the winners.
